Kielek Sympatyk FEFK Escort 1.6 16V sprze ... Warszawa | 2006-05-31 07:32:12 No to Lemar jak wół widać, że EGRu nie masz, bo:
Kielek Sympatyk FEFK Escort 1.6 16V sprze ... Warszawa | 2006-05-31 10:04:40 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN No.024/1997
Car and Light/Medium Commercial 26.06.1997 Section: 21 Model: All with Zetec and Zetec-E engines Markets: All Subject: Engine stalls during warm up, runs roughly after a cold start and exhibits serious loss of power. Also shuddering at speeds between 60 and 100 km/h on vehicles with CD4E automatic transmission. Summary This bulletin supersedes TSB 24/1997 dated 14.02.1997, which is no longer valid. Please destroy all previous versions. The labour times have changed, the location of the `11' punched on the cylinder head has changed. On engines built before 01.02.95, old type (green sealing rubber) exhaust valve oil seals should also be renewed. Should a customer express concern over engine stalling during warm up, erratic running after a cold start, severe loss of power when the engine is warm or, on vehicles with CD4E automatic transmission, shuddering at speeds between 60 and 100 km/h (40 - 60 mph), the vehicle should be checked and re-worked exactly as detailed in this bulletin. If the concern cannot be resolved by following the checking procedure, revised exhaust valve hydraulic tappets and a cylinder head oil pressure relief valve should be installed as necessary. Also, on engines built before 01.02.95, old type (green sealing rubber) exhaust valve oil seals should be renewed. NOTE: The concerns described in this TSB can have various causes. It is, therefore, vital to test the vehicle at each stage before carrying out further repair work. The Special Tool (GV-2177) required to remove the oil non-return valve will be sent, without charge, directly from OTC-Europe (Löwener/Churchill) to all dealers who participate in the "Automatic Tool Supply Programme" (ATSP). All other dealers must order this special tool from OTC-Europe (Löwener/Churchill). The tool will also be supplied to these dealers free of charge. CAUTION: Certain warranty and goodwill guidelines should be observed when carrying out the repair work. Production Action Revised hydraulic tappets have been installed in engines assembled at Bridgend and Cologne engine plants from 03.03.97. The build date and engine plant can be established by referring to the engine identification sticker on the timing belt cover. Checking procedures - all vehicles NOTE: The following checking procedure must be carried out first. Rectify any defects which are found during these checks. 1. Visually inspect the engine management wiring harnesses and connections. Rectify any defects found. 2. Check the ignition system (especially if the vehicle hesitates when warm) using a suitable engine analyser. Pay particular attention to high tension components. If an engine analyser is not available, remove the spark plugs and high tension cables and visually inspect them. If there is any doubt about their serviceability, (e.g. signs of tracking), substitute them with known good components (prepare a set for this purpose). Make sure that the spark plug bores are clean (oil or coolant leaks from the cylinder head). Rectify any defects found. Fiesta/Escort engines built before 15.12.95 only µ 3. Remove the oil pump pressure relief valve piston. µ 4. Measure the length of the oil pump pressure relief valve piston. l The measurement x should be 29 mm. l If the piston is shorter than 28 mm, renew it (see Parts Required). µ 5. Insert the oil pressure relief valve piston. 6. Install the spring and plug. All vehicles 7. Road test the vehicle. If the concern is still apparent, proceed to step 8. µ 8. Inspect the cylinder head level with the engine lifting eye. If the cylinder head is punch marked with `11', or the engine was built after 03.03.97, the hydraulic tappets are not the cause of the concern. In this case DO NOT carry out steps 9 to 19. If there is no `11' punch mark and the engine was built before 03.03.97, proceed to step 9. Repair procedure 9. Remove the camshafts (refer to the relevant Service Microfiche, Operation Number 21 284 0) and remove and discard the exhaust valve hydraulic tappets. NOTE: The shaft diameter determines the plunger Ř of the hydraulic tappet, NOT the surface diameter. µ 10. Install the revised hydraulic tappets (plunger Ř 11 mm, see Parts Required). Before fitting the new hydraulic tappets, coat them with engine oil. Punch mark an `11' as described in step 8. 1 Old design plunger (Ř14 mm) 2 Revised design plunger (Ř11 mm) µ 11. Inspect the cylinder head under the inlet camshaft (cylinder head shown removed from the engine, and with the camshafts removed) to determine whether an oil non-return valve or a pressure relief valve is fitted. µ 12. Identifying the oil non-return valve and pressure relief valve. 1 Oil non-return valve 2 Pressure relief valve If a pressure relief valve is fitted, proceed to step 17. If an oil non-return valve is fitted proceed to step 13. CAUTION: It is essential to apply grease to the threads of the special tool in order to trap any swarf created when screwing the tool into the oil non-return valve. NOTE: The puller (GV-2177) needed to remove the oil non-return valve will be sent to participants in the ATSP by OTC-Europe. µ 13. Remove the oil non-return valve. NOTE: Screw in the puller vertically. 1 Apply grease to the threads of the puller and screw the puller onto the oil non-return valve. 2 Fit the slide hammer onto the puller. 3 Remove the oil non-return valve. 14. Clean off any grease remaining on the cylinder head. 15. Make sure that no grease or swarf drops into the oil non-return valve bore. NOTE: When fitted the pressure relief valve protrudes further from the bore than the oil non-return valve. Make sure that the pressure relief valve is fitted squarely. 16. Drive the pressure relief valve fully home into the cylinder head using a soft metal drift. Engines built before 01.02.95 only 17. Remove one valve spring on the exhaust side (refer to Operation Number 21 238 0 of the relevant Service Microfiche) and note the colour of the valve stem oil seal rubber. l No further action is necessary if the valve stem oil seal rubber is red. Re-install the valve spring. Proceed to step 18. l If the valve stem oil seal rubber is green, renew all the exhaust side valve stem oil seals (see Parts Required) (refer to Operation Number 21 238 0 of the relevant Service Microfiche). All vehicles 18. Install the camshafts (refer to Operation Number 21 284 0 of the relevant Service Microfiche). 19. Change the engine oil and the oil filter. 20. Carry out a final road test, taking the engine through its whole speed range as often as possible. |
